Compare actual spend to estimated spend by setting up the QuickBooks integration. Create different views of your QuickBooks Actuals, and add them to your Models.

You must be an Orchestra admin and an admin on your QuickBooks account to complete the following steps.
Set up the QuickBooks integration
Navigate to the Org Settings page from your avatar, and go to the Integrations tab
Click "Enable" for the QuickBooks integration
Follow the steps in the modal to log into QuickBooks Online and connect the account to Orchestra
It may take a few minutes for the data to update
Once the data is done updating, click "Sync" and pick the date through which you want to pull in the QB actuals
Click "Mapping" and map your accounting categories from QB to the corresponding accounting categories in Orchestra. Categories actively being used in QB are noted.
Click "Views" and create a new view for your QB actuals. For example, you can have a view called "All QB data" or "R&D actuals only" that are shared with different people.
Select which Orchestra categories you want to include in your view
Click "Share" to modify the permissions as needed
Add Actuals data to a Model
Go to a Model and click on the "Sources" tab from the left sidebar
Add one of the Actuals views to the Model

By default, the Table tab of the model will display Actuals up until the last Actuals month, and then switch over to displaying the Estimates
Modify this by clicking the Data button on the top of the table
Perform variance analysis on your actuals vs. estimates by clicking the "Data" button at the top of the table > "Comparison"
Click on the palette button to update the thresholds and colors of the analysis
